Privacy Policy

When you send a booking through the form on this site, we collect:

• Your name and phone number, so we can confirm the appointment and reach you.
• The address or place where you want the wash, and the island area it falls in, so the crew can find you and plan the route.
• The date and time you picked.
• Your vehicle type and description, so the crew arrives with the right equipment.
• Any notes you add, and the payment method you intend to use.
• A discount code, if you entered one.

That is the whole list. We do not ask for an email address, a date of birth, an ID number, or anything about you beyond what is needed to wash your car.

• No card or bank details. This site takes no payment. You settle directly with the crew on the day, so payment information never passes through the website at all.
• No advertising trackers. There is no advertising pixel, no remarketing tag and no ad network on this site. We do use Google Analytics to count visits — see “Analytics and search” below.
• No session recording. We do not record your screen, your mouse movements or your keystrokes.

We use two Google tools to understand how the site is doing. Neither of them is connected to your booking: they see visits to the website, not the details you type into the form.

• Google Analytics — counts visits and tells us which pages get read, roughly which country or region the visit came from, what kind of device and browser was used, and whether you arrived from a search, a link or an advert elsewhere. It does not tell us who you are. Your IP address is used to work out the rough location and is not stored by us. This runs on cookies, which you can refuse — see “Cookies” below.
• Google Search Console — shows us which searches bring people to the site and whether Google can read our pages properly. It reports totals only. It sets no cookies and cannot identify an individual visitor.

We use this to see which services people look for and whether the site works, nothing more. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running and improving the site; for the analytics cookies, it is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by clearing or blocking them.

Both services are run by Google, which means this measurement data is processed on Google’s servers, including in the United States. You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We use your details for one purpose: to carry out the wash you asked for. That means confirming the appointment, turning up at the right place at the right time, and issuing an invoice afterwards. This is the information we need to perform the service you requested.

We do not sell your details, rent them, trade them, or send you marketing you did not ask for.

Bookings are stored in a database hosted by Supabase, on servers located in the United States. The site itself is served through Cloudflare. This means your details are transferred outside Aruba and stored in the United States.

Access to the booking records is restricted to the business owner, who must sign in with a password. The database is configured so that booking records cannot be read through the public website by anyone else.

We do not share your details with anyone except the services that run this site:

• Supabase — hosts the database the bookings are stored in.
• Cloudflare — serves the website and handles the connection between your browser and us.
• Google — receives the visit measurements described under “Analytics and search”, through Google Analytics and Google Search Console. Google never receives your booking: not your name, your phone number, your address or your vehicle.
• Sentry — receives technical error reports if something on the site breaks. These reports are about the fault, not about you; the site is configured not to send personal data with them.

If you contact us on WhatsApp instead of using the form, that conversation happens on WhatsApp and is handled under Meta’s own privacy policy, not this one.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it of us. Nothing else leaves our hands.

We keep booking and invoice records for up to seven years. Invoices are business records and we are expected to be able to produce them. Bookings that never became a job are removed sooner, once they are clearly no longer relevant.

If you would rather we did not keep your details for that long, tell us and we will remove what we are not obliged to retain.

There are three kinds of cookie on this site, and no others:

• Analytics cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) to tell a returning visit from a new one. They hold a random identifier, not your name, and they expire after about two years.
• A language cookie. Remembers which of English, Spanish or Dutch you picked from the dropdown, so the site opens in that language next time. It holds nothing but the language code.
• A sign-in cookie. Browser storage that keeps the owner signed in to the private dashboard, which visitors never see.

There are no advertising cookies. You can block or delete the analytics cookies in your browser settings at any time — the site works exactly the same without them.

You can ask us at any time to:

• Tell you what we hold about you.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete your details, where we are not required to keep them.
• Send you a copy of what you gave us.
• Stop using your details altogether.

Aruba is a popular destination for visitors from the European Union. If you are in the EU or the UK, the rights above are the ones the GDPR gives you, and we will honour them regardless of where you booked from. Just ask — we will not make it difficult, and there is no charge.

This service is intended for adults booking a car wash. We do not knowingly collect details from children. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.

Connections to this site are encrypted. Booking records are locked down at the database level, so they can only be read by the signed-in owner and never by a visitor to the site.

No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise. If something goes wrong in a way that affects you, we will tell you.

If we change how we handle your details, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be made clear rather than slipped in quietly.
